Math is the study of patterns. Mathematicians notice patterns.  They wonder about them.  They describe them. And they use them! There are so many patterns to be played with in the Math Museum!

There is a unique joy you feel when you solve a puzzle or complete a challenging task. The experiments in this museum are designed to be interactive and encourage play. Build a bridge. Complete a pyramid puzzle. Explore reflections in a mirror. Find the shortest path around Minnesota. You won't need someone to tell you if you're correct.  You'll know and this will make you smile.

“Math is a vehicle for thinking.” These are the words of Singaporean mathematics educator extraordinaire Dr. Yeap Ban Har. Math helps people see themselves as thinkers and encourages them to listen to other's thoughts as well.  Come explore the hands-on experiments at the Math Museum and share what you notice!
